exit karl rove

Karl Rove, the architect of the Bush’s and the Republican Party’s success at the polls (except the recent congressional elections last year), trusted adviser with his tentacles in practically all areas of policy, and perhaps the most influential of all of Bush’s aides, is throwing in the towel.

Dubbed the “boy genius”, Rove has just tendered his resignation to President Bush and is expected to be gone by the end of this month, according to the Washington Post.

Rove has always been seen as being the one to leave office with Bush, securing Bush’s legacy, and even influencing and playing a big role in the 2008 presidential elections. Instead, Rove said that he would leave politics to write a book and teach.

Before leaving though, Rove took a shot at the Democrats, dismissing Hillary Clinton as “fatally flawed” and predicting with his usual arrogance that a Republican can win the presidency in 2008.
